It helps to prevent abrasion of refractory lining which in turn extends service life of iron ladle. This compound is made of elements like calcium carbonate, calcium fluoride and active element like ion of sodium. Widely used in metal melting unit, this compound is instrumental in maintaining fluidity of melted metal. It tends to react with heated fluid in order to prevent transformation of liquid into solid.
