Slag Powder

Slag is basically residue substance which is generated after completion of smelting of metal. To be precise, it is the by product or waste matter produced during steel manufacturing process.  It consists of compounds like ferrous oxide, calcium oxide, silicon dioxide, manganese dioxide and aluminum oxide. This high density substance can be used as suitable aggregate for concrete in its coarse and fine forms. The attributes of Slag depends on its production type. Air cooled blast furnace produced residue substance is known for its good hydraulic features which is useful for improving load enduring capacity of roads. Good compressive strength, better strength, lime free content, unique kinetics of hydration and long storage life are the main attributes of this waste material.
